Larodon (Lawrence O'Donnell) has been a musician in Ireland for over twenty years. He lives in Cork, Ireland and has a local following. Lawrence is also a music teacher at the Cork Academy of Music, a place where he feels he can help people who have a love for music but have missed an opportunity to study it

 

Larodon has been creating Orchestral music for a long time but has a love for many genres from Rock to Electronica and feels it is time to start exploring these genres. "Everything from Dream Theater to Pink Floyd, with hints of Gary Numan and Prefab Sprout" is how Lawrence describes his new music.



"Due to the recent loss of the person I considered to be the love of my life, I was in a state of shock and this had a huge mental and physical impact on me, especially as I used to write and record with her. It came to the point where I had to decide...the depths of despair and physical collapse, or do something to get me out of those depths. The idea of a concept album came to mind - the one you now know as 'Assassination Of The Heart' (The Seven Stages Suite) - and I wrote it during the stages I was going through. It started as a personal exorcism but as I spoke to more people, the idea seemed to resonate with them. We've all been, or perhaps will be, through some sort of loss. This album reflects my personal loss, but you will be able to identify with each stage from Shock through to Acceptance"
